FMS
The FMS or Functional Movement Screen is widely regarded as the gold standard of movement screening. This is why we choose to use the FMS.
Since its creation in 2001 it has been used by the best in the industry, with the highest performing professionals in the Olympics, NBA and NFL as well as with everyday people such as high school students and recovering physical therapy patients.
The FMS involves 7 movements which require a balance of mobility and stability. The FMS is able to look objectively at our clients movement quality. Therefore as you perform these patterns the trainer will be able to identify the greatest asymmetry or movement deficiency. Most importantly is that it highlights patterns that may indicate and increased risk of injury. Once these are identified and assessed our trainers are able to know where to direct their attention to first.
Using this simple and repeatable screen to catch mobility and stability issues we can prevent potential future issues caused by movement faults and provide more informed and individualised sessions to our clients.

Personal training is designed to take you from where you are now to where you want to be. Our one on one personal training service is suitable for anyone from the beginner to the advanced, the young of body and the young of heart.
We will work with you to achieve your goals, or we will help you identify your WHY!
Our semi private training sessions will use the information gathered in the FMS screen to improve how you move while making you stronger, mobile and more energetic.
Small group training
Small group training sessions at Strength + Soul are designed to be both fun and challenging.
You and up to three friends can enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that comes with overcoming challenges as a team. At Strength + Soul there will be no boot camp style yelling and screaming. Our trainers take your technique seriously so you can be sure you are still receiving the benefits of having a trainer but with the added motivation of exercising (and competing) with friends. Our small group training can be scaled to suit any ability or fitness level.
Many of our current clients enjoy the best of both worlds. A one on one Private Session weekly as well as a weekly small group session. Let us know what suits you best!
